King Solomon used a cedar for building a temple in Jerusalem, and Egyptians for the construction of ships and sarcophagus, while their cedar oil was used for mummification. Solomon contracted with King Hiram of Tyre to supply the cedar and pine logs from the forests of Lebanon.
